So I have been told by many that I need to update my blog and I don’t really have anything to blog about so I will just update on my life…. So I went to Utah after my sister and b-i-l (brother-in-law) and niece were out here. While there I went to a building implosion with my b-i-l and daddy and also with Allison and Nathan’s neighbor. Who happens to be a state trooper and we rode in this squad car. We had to be there by 5:45 in the morning. My sister and bro in law lives about 40 min away from Salt Lake so we left the house at 3:50 and got there at about 4:45… in the morning!! And we played games before the implosion and there were news crews there and they were doing a story about one of the former presidents of the bank… anyways it was really early… but it was really cool and way worth it. Here is a link to see it: http://www.myfoxutah.com/myfox/pages/News/Detail?contentId=4107634&version=1&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=VSTY&pageId=3.1.1
So before I left my mother and I went to Eastview high school to register for my classes. (That’s right I switched high schools for my senior year). And I registered for this class called work experience, (The seminar classes are designed to help students acquire knowledge and skills needed to promote personal growth and develop competencies in self-awareness and self-advocacy, career awareness, employment readiness, interpersonal relationships, independent living, and citizenship. The goals of the program are to increase student employability skills, develop vocational training and awareness, and promote student success at Eastview High School. Students apply informed decision-making processes to develop a career investigation portfolio and participate in real-world work experience through research, shadowing, and/or on-the-job training) that is the course description. If you read it you probably didn’t have to. :) Anyways so that meant I needed to find a job… and fast so my friend told me of this little flower shop that was hiring so I went and picked up an application. And I went in and had an interview and well now I work anywhere between 12-20 hours a week. (http://eaganfloral.com/)
Also I am apparently married (or well I guess it would be engaged because we technically are not married…) Yes it is true. His name is Aaron Stratman. That would be him. And here is the story of how we became married… Aaron graduated last year so he GETS to teach in the primary in the Burnsville ward. Which meets right before my ward. Well we meet last year in seminary because all 3 wards in the building were combined. So I went with my sister to choir one day and I realized I don’t sing and wondered why I came with. So I left. And trust me I did the whole choir and ward a favor. So anyways I went to go find Aaron to say hi. And I found his dad and we were talking then along came Aaron. And he was like what are you doing here already? And I said oh trying to avoid choir. He said you should come sit with my primary class with me. So I was like ok I don’t have anything to do. So a kid in his class leaned over to Aaron and said are you two married? And Aaron and I looked at each other and said yes yes we are. So now we refer to each other like we are married using terms like husband and wife. And his parents think it’s the funniest thing. As do his sisters.
Can you guess which one is the lie??
I think that is about all I have to talk about so this is all for now. Maybe in another 3 months I’ll update again. :)
